BAKED MULTIGRAIN CRACKERS

We all get that hunger pangs between meals right? I used to resort to cakes or chips or some fried food item to momentarily satisfy my hunger. Now, I know I can’t do anything about cakes because- cake duh! But I decided I can change my craving for fried foods to healthy alternatives. This is where these baked crackers come. I went a step further and made the crackers without all purpose flour. How great is that? Not only are these healthy but they are also tasty and easy to make. This is what I call a winner. All you have to do is take different flours, add whatever seasonings you want, make a dough, rest, shape and bake. That easy! And if you don’t have all the flours, no worries. You can replace that for which ever flour you have at home. Ingredients: Rice flour - 1/2 cup Whole wheat - 1/4 cup Semolina - 1/4 cup Maize flour - 1/4 cup Chickpeas flour/Besan - 1/4 cup Oats - 3 Tbsp Salt - As per taste Pepper - 1 tsp Chilli powder - 1 tsp Asafoetida ...

VANILLA CAKE WITH BLUEBERRY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

I have always disliked cakes and frosting with fruits in it. But when there were a lot of blueberries at home and I didn’t want to eat ‘em up, what did I do? I baked a cake of course!Well, blueberry frosting, it’s part of the cake..so.. 😉 Take it from an avid chocolate lover who hates to even try anything non-chocolate based that this good old vanilla cake paired with blueberry buttercream is so yummm *sluurrrp*. Also, the buttercream is not overly sweet because of the addition of blueberry concentrate to it. And the colour is so soothing to the eyes. There’s nothing to do but love it! The vanilla cake is oil-based so its moist and even-crumbed which made the task of frosting easier even for a beginner like me. What makes this worth it? Cake- easy to bake, buttercream frosting- if you know how to hold a hand blender then you’re set, decorating the cake- easy-ish  😊. All in all, it’s a total win! I’m pretty sure if you give it a try once, it’ll forever be a favourite. ...
